Nice stuff you've got here!

The intro sets the piece up really well, kudos with that. I'm glad I checked out your music, it's pretty nice stuff. I liked the melody with the guitar-like synth. You've got a great style, it's industrial and ambient, with some really catchy melodies.

You're using Reason, right? Some of the sounds sound like Reason. Great work, I'm gonna go and 5 all of your songs, you could use some more exposure.

Can't wait to hear more from you!

cycerin responds:

Wow, thanks man :D your appreciation is very uplifting. I intend to keep making songs with this style.
And no, i use FL 4, but i spend a lot of time tinkering with samples and generators so many of my songs use my own sounds.
Thanks for the exposure too! :D

Interesting

I see what you're trying to do, and I can't help but admire it. I think you need an actual beat going though (with the words), and a repeating chorus, verse type of familiarity. It sounds too much like random stuff going on and no rhyme or reason.

This really needs a lot of work, but if done right this could be a great innovative piece.

rioross responds:

well then, ill get on that!

Nice Work

Nice Job! This piece loses a lot of feeling because of the electronic sounding sounds. This particular piece would sound really nice with Vienna Symphonic Library samples, they would really suit this piece. I think this is a great start, but a piece like this benefits from all of the little additions you don't really hear, but feel. Work on instrument expression automation.

What software and sounds are you using for this?

medieval7 responds:

Fruity loops, and Edirol

Well done!

I gotta say, over the months at Newgrounds you've really impressed me- because of your diversity in genres that you write. It's great that you experiment and compose with many different styles.

The only thing that this piece is lacking is a good piano sound. I think this could sound superb with a more expressive, convincing performance.

At any rate, great job, and keep up the good work!

Khuskan responds:

Well considering it's a computer performing it, it didn't come off TOO bad. I'm going to learn to play it properly and then get a real performance out of it :-)

Wow

I gotta tell you man, this is one of the best industrial-esque pieces I've heard.

I never was a huge fan of industrial, but this just sounds so dirty and grungy, it's awesome!

Keep up the great work!

Helix6 responds:

Thanks.

Farewell!

You've made some great music on newgrounds man, it's awful to see you leave!

Great piece, and the guitar solo fit so well. The piano, as always, sounded great. Bravo!

So why are you leaving? Are you just going moving on to different things? Whatever the reason, you won't be forgotten anytime soon!

MilkMan-Dan responds:

I'll always come by and check to see the new masterpieces you've created Mr.Maestro... David.

I am leaving because my life outside of newgrounds is taking dramatic turns. It's off into the real world now. Outside highschool... eventually into the Military service of Canada.

I hope to be a military Pilot. And when indeed I am. I will personally fly down to your home and thank you for all your help and reviews.

So long my friend.

haha

Very Drums n Bass alright. This sounds really dirty, I like that :).

Swweeet emtramce with the choirs. I was actually thinking about saying "add some strings/choirs", and then you did! Great minds think alike, as they say.

It is a short song, but pretty sweet none the less.

You get my 5 :D.

PERVOK responds:

:D I have to go now, but when I get back, you can be sure that I'll be casting some o that review magic of mine :)

Thanks for the review!

well done!

I loved the piano sound. The mood was very excellently portrayed, not a single note was too unexpected or out of place. There were a few mushy spots towards the ending, but that was more a cause of notes being help a little too long more than anything.

A very beautiful piece man, I am impressed.

MilkMan-Dan responds:

:P... stupid mushy parts. Well when you play and record the piece entirely by hand, over-held notes happen all too much. I'm glad I was able to impress you Mr.Maestro... and thankyou for the review.

Great Job Glas!

I'm taking some time out of my busy schedule to leave you a personal review :)

This is very unique music, definately. It really caught my music, because I havn't heard anything quite like it. Nice rhodes chords, I really like the sound of it too. The drums always seemed fresh, they never felt like the same thing over and over again, which is definately a common problem with electronic music.

Very well done, 5/5 from me :)

Triskele responds:

*yays*

Thank you sir! I was really excited on how well the bodhran and the standard drums meshed on this one.

The organ line was influenced by St. Germain...acid jazz is teh shit!!!! lol

Nicely done!

Great work Z, you've got some great beats. I love the contrasting feel in the piece, you have a really hard driving DnB base, but then there are ambient underlying chords and such in there. Mmm, good stuff!

Thanks for your vote, MrMaestro[no problem]! You voted 5 for Impatient Patient--_--, raising its score from 3.67 to 4.00.

I wish I could have raised it a little higher, than that, but what can one man do?

PERVOK responds:

Har! Thanks for all the comments!

I think I'll try ellaborating on this kind of style, after im done the full version of 'black liquid'.

Thanks again, much appreciated!
